MARINA FAGES

Marina Fages is an artist from Buenos Aires Argentina. She does oil painting, and had solo exhibitions in different cities in Argentina. This is her first solo show in the UK.
She is also a storyboard artist and has worked on more than 90 commercials.
She sings and composes the songs with “El Tronador”, a folk cloudy mountain experimental band.
Her music and paintings try to speak positively about the same thing: transformation thought intense, hard experiences and love.

As part of the exhibition there is also a multichannel sound installation which will loop for the duration of the show:

Now it is trendy that the ecologist groups take endangered species back to its natural habitat, but the Ghostbusters have been doing this since a long time ago. Like to be waiting for the lift and find it empty with a sword stuck in the wall.

The bear who goes to search for honey for the others never leaves marked tracks. Walk is for pussys, run painting.

Paint to not go anywhere, after all the sun is a circle and when you´ll realize that you will be behind you, pushing you to the top.

We are tired of writing “mountain”.

The Will to Power, playing football, along and under the rain. Hard to understand if you didn´t pass the Evolution & Phisical/Chemical 3 test, the most boring matter in magic school.
