Eine is a prolific street artist based in London. He is most notable for his alphabet lettering on shop shutters in East London. He has also taken his lettering to the streets of Paris, Stockholm and Yokyo where people gave him little gifts to thanks him for vandalising their walls.
Oh yeah I almost forgot , David Cameron presented President Obama with an EINE Canvas.

It is a complete trip that street art has made it into the hearts of our worlds political leaders, I can imagine the jaunty punchy type vibrantly standing out amongst the White House art collection sitting next to the Oil paintings of Lincoln.
Why is Ben EINE cool ?
Ok its cool that the most powerful man in the world has one of his pieces, but there are a lot of other reasons..
Ben got stuck out in Japan when Iceland Volcano was erupting and he spent weeks painting shopfronts in Osaka and Tokyo, people would give him little gifts when he finished painting their places… thats cool.
Ben went to L.A. and started painting shutters with permission of the store owners and the more and more he painted, more and more store owners wanted their shutters done too.
Ben is a excellent colourist, because of his background in screenprinting for POW he has really got to grips with making prints POP! and he really thinks about what colours are going to go with what and he completely nails it. He cuts a mean stencil too.
I have a theory that screenprinting ink and paint runs through his veins, not claret.
He has been so systematic with painting letters on the streets in the East End, I think he has changed the landscape in a lot of areas with his letters.
